This magnificent Balsamic Condiment from Reggio Emilia in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy is aged with skill and care in barrels of mixed woods of at least 25 years old to increase the complexity of the condiment. Woods include chestnut, which is rich in tannins and helps create the rich, dark color; cherry to sweeten; mulberry to reduce the vinegar and add a hint of vanilla flavor; juniper to provide a resinous aroma; and oak to rest and seal-in the different flavors. This condiment pairs well with complex dishes such as creamy risotto and roasted meats as well as aged cheeses or drizzled over baked fruits and ice cream.

 
 
 
Since 1892 Acetaia F.lli Gorrieri has been an artisan producer of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia in Italy‰Ûªs Emilia-Romagna region. They are renowned for their production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia DOP, as well as ‰ÛÏSaba‰Û (cooked grape musts) and condiments known as "L‰ÛªAse". The L'Ase products are made using the same careful method as the highest quality PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
