Three olive oils from Pago Baldios San Carlos of Extremadura:

SAN CARLOS ARBEQUINA: This extra virgin olive oil is made from 100% Arbequina olives which are harvested in early October - fifteen days earlier than what is typical - thus intensifies the flavor of the oil. With its more concentrated taste, the oil is characterized by a balance between flavors of herbs, ripe fruit, almonds, apples, tomatoes and bananas. It is ideal for seasoning raw food, salads, grilled fish and desserts.

ORO SAN CARLOS: Oro San Carlos is a thoughtful blend of locally-grown Arbequina and Cornicabra olives of Extremadura. The olives are harvested in early October thus giving the oil a more concentrated fruity flavor. This well-balanced oil is medium fruity with notes of fresh herbs, apple and almond with a subtle spicy finish and adds wonderful flavor to grilled meats and vegetables. The oil was recently awarded one of the “Best Olive Oils in the World” with a Gold Medal at the 2015 New York International Olive Oil Competition.

SAN CARLOS GOURMET: Made predominantly from Cornicabra olives with a light touch of Arbequina, this extra virgin olive oil from award-winning producer, Pago Bladios San Carlos of Extremadura, is harmonious and well-balanced. This medium-intense oil has predominant aromas of green grass, artichoke and green almonds with a delightful balance of sweet and peppery flavors. Located in the Valley of Tietar in Caceres, Extremadura, Spain, the Pago Baldios San Carlos family has been linked to agriculture since the 17th century. The unique microclimate of the valley makes it possible to harvest fifteen days earlier than usual, giving their products an outstanding fruity flavor. The olive groves, located in the foothills of Sierra de Gredos and situated amongst raspberry, orange and cherry trees, drink the crystal clear waters provided by the almost perpetual snows of Pico Almanzor Mountain and ripen under the rays of the Extremadura sun. This extraordinary location allows their oils to reach minimum levels of acidity and gives their products the unique fruity aromas.
