Pietre al Monte’s signature Gran Riserva extra virgin olive oil is made with only the best selection of hand-picked olives specially curated from the Il Paretajo estate located in the Chianti Colli Aretini region of Tuscany. The single estate olives are cold-extracted within hours of harvesting and are carefully selected by their experts depending on the quality and taste during each harvest season. The resulting oil is typically dark green in color with a delicately balanced flavor of green olives, fresh herbs and tomato. Prized for its incredibly fresh and signature peppery flavor with a high concentration of polyphenols, this oil pairs excellently with shellfish, grilled vegetables, legumes and carpaccios.

This olive oil comes in a gift box as pictured.

Pietre al Monte is a private estate located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy within the prestigious Chianti “Colli Aretini” region. This special piece of land has been cultivated by generations of farmers who grow several varieties of olive trees native to the region. The owners work closely with these farmers within the community to cultivate and produce some of the finest single estate extra virgin olive oils in the world. The olives are meticulously hand-picked in early autumn and cold extracted within the same day at temperatures below 80°F, which ensures the oil’s flavors, characteristics and nutrients remain unaltered. By harvesting early and using only natural production methods, they are able to obtain a very limited quantity of olive oil of the highest quality and concentration of polyphenols.
